When you use QR Code Scan Free, we do not collect, store, or share any personal information. We do not require account registration, email sign-ups, or login details.

2. Local Processing (On-Device)

All operations are performed entirely in your browser using local client-side JavaScript execution:

  • Camera Scanning: The live camera feed is processed directly inside your browser using the canvas API. No video stream or static frames are ever transmitted over the network.
  • File Scanning: Uploaded images or pasted screenshots are read locally. There are no server uploads.
  • QR Code Generation: Custom QR codes are generated instantly on your device via client-side libraries.
  • Scan History: Your recent scans are saved in your browser's local storage (LocalStorage) for convenience and can be cleared instantly at any time.

3. No Tracking and No Cookies

We do not use tracking pixels, web beacons, or third-party analytical scripts. We do not set any tracking cookies or store persistent identifiers on your browser. Your network connections are direct, secure, and static.

4. Security

Since we do not host a server-side database for user scans, there is no threat of server data breaches or storage leaks. However, we advise you to be careful when scanning QR codes that point to external websites, as we are not responsible for the privacy policies of third-party domains.
